Bini kept telling me how good was Rakuzen, so finally we found a reason to try upper class Japanese food! We always manage to have some reason to celebrate, don’t we Bini?
Instead of going back to Rakuzen which Bini had tried, we chose another one which is near our place – Kinpachi. It is hidden on the first floor, and the block is usually human-less at night. If netizens never blog about it, we would never know such good stuff exists!
Anyway, the menu is comprehensive and for a while I was stunned not knowing what to order. Maybe I was too hungry and everything sounds perfect! In the end, we settled with below
Overall, we are extremely satisfied with the quality! Mind you, it is a pricy place but you get what you pay! So good that we want to go back again, in near future!

We have booked the seats last year and managed to get cheap seats then. After waiting for so long, we were finally in Bandung!
Basically, the shopping spree that we expected was not quite as we imagined it to be. There were things to buy still no doubt (me, YL & YY bought the most) but not as good as Bangkok that you wanted to go back for more.
Day 1: We reached at around 11am local time (Indo is one hour behind us) and we took taxis to Rumah Ebo. It took around 20mins from the airport. It is a very comfy place to stay as it has a courtyard and the bedrooms were facing them! Very nice.. next time we build our house like that ok bier?

We were so eager that we wanna to do shopping immediately! But before that, we need to treat our stomach before executing the main task. We had our Sudanese food at Dapur Penyawagan. Food was not bad. I would rate 4 over 10 but others seems to like it a lot.
After lunch, we immediately head to the famous Rumah Mode. The selection was relatively wide but it a little overrated I must say. But managed to buy a few t-shirts and bier got himself a banana republic boxer worth RM10.. made of good material.. bier, you should have bot more lah!
We spent some more time around Jalan Setiabudi (Rumah Mode is in the same road) and I love Donatello the most! Sells only shoes, good quality shoes at very reasonable price. Wanted to buy 3 pairs, dinner, work & casual but manage to get 2 only
We went back to Jalan Dago (where Rumah Ebo is) and spent some time at the Episode, bier’s favourite factory outlet! Then we realized that the FO in Jalan Dago are more high class generally compared to elsewhere in Bandung.

Day 2: Tangkupan Perahu. Mico, YY & LS managed to book the taxi driver at Rp450k for the whole day. It takes around 2 hours to reach there and it’s the scenery was quite nice. Farah has advised me to try the strawberries and raspberries so I insisted on getting some to try. It’s indeed very sweet! Too sweet that we even we lick the skin, it’s also sweet then we suspected that it’s actually sprayed by some sweeteners before selling them to us. So guys, if you really wanna try, just grab a box and share them amongst yourself. We made a mistake because the seller sold to us at Rp50k for 5 boxes and YL liked it so much that she bought another 6 boxes to share. After the first box, we found there’s something wrong in it and later ended in the rubbish bin..

After TP, YL recommended to have lunch at The Peak but we also wanted to try at the famous Kampung Daun. We were so hungry that time that we almost decided to makan at ThePeak, until we reached there, we changed our mind because it’s Western food and the prices were quite pricey. It’s usually for proposal or romantic dinner for the locals there so you can imagine how classy it is. We were not in the mood for that so we proceed to Kampung Daun. It din dissapoint us! It’s a must go.. the hut that the hostess put us was facing the natural waterfall.. so imagining having your lunch in the middle of the jungle with the running water sound.. it’s an experience not to be missed! The food was good and you have to try the avogado drink.. very sedap loh!

After yummy lunch, we proceed to Jalan Riau for more shopping. Cant remember much about this place just that Terminal Tas has many handbags and bought one each for my sisters and mummy. Hope they like it! Before this the driver took us to Toko Tiga to shop for some jeans.. bought my levis there! hehe..

After a long day, we decided to makan just nearby a small roadside restaurant for local food.. After dinner, bier told me he was not feeling well. At night, my poor bier vomited twice and got diarhoerr.. and his bier do not know anything about it sorry lah bi
pity him that he had to make his own isotonic drink and find jacket in the luggage that i properly packed himself..
Day 3: Went to pasar baru trying to get some bedsheets for our wedding.. no bedsheets but bought some batik shirts for dad, cloth for mum (the quality is really good and it’s cheap!), shirts for hengtais, Jackson and Min.
Bier’s situation had worsen and YL also not feeling very well. Suspected both have food poisoning, some argued due to the strawberries, I suspected the dinner as both of them were having the same thing. After half day trying our own medication but it din work. Took them both a nearby hospital and the doctor told them, Welcome to Indonesia.. he sure has some sense of humour though it wasnt that funny to bier and YL
After injection and medication, bier seems to be a little bit ok, but not in the best fit. Rested for the whole day, an feeling bored, went out to peek at Jalan Dago by myself. Went to around 5 FO but did not manage to get anything.. probably was worried about bier back in the hotel or seen too much of similar things in the past few days..
Day 4: Bier hasnt seen the rest of Jalan Dago we went for a quick screening in 5 FOs in 1 hour.. talking about efficiency!
Taxi was there at 10am and we just can’t wait to go home.. there you go.. our Bandung trip.. rated at 4 over 10.. but most kafay gals rated it below 2.. yea.. that bad

Bier got a complimentary dining voucher from her friend. It is meant for two at Westin Hotel, free! Woots! We opted for dim sum buffet but the place was fully booked for this weekend. Since the voucher gonna expire in April and we are not around next week, we went for Malaysian Affair which is a hi-tea buffet.
We reached there around 12:30pm and only surrendered around 3pm-ish
The spread is actually just average. There is salad, Malaysian food, sandwiches, pasta, western grills, and whole row of desserts. Bier finished and gave up quite early due to her aggressiveness
I took my time to savour the food and replenished on what I like. The environment is great as what you would expect in a 5 star hotel. There is even a singing troupe that sing for every table. The lady has a great and powerful voice. She would probably win one of those singing competitions. The waiters are also very attentive, wasting no time to see to our every needs. They even draw on your cappuccino! Sweet!
Overall, service and ambience rocks, but if I were to pay for this meal, nah I will choose a different venue
