He reached around 12.30pm not in good mood because of the flight and long walk from his waiting spot to the car.. no parking and stopping lah bi!! He took a nap after he is back and makan his favourite kolomee I prepared beforehand.. the mee was horrible!! bought the wrong one but bier finished it regardless then after a cat nap, he woke up to his fav bakchang!!

Later at night, we drove to Freshwater (nice place with beaches etc) and had our dinner in this high class fine dining restaurant called Pilu. The ambiance is excellent!  Bier ordered a flight of wine for the first time where 3 red wines were served and the rule is to drink from the left to right – ALWAYS! And I had rose wine which tastes normal. Bier had steak and I ordered lamb as main course and ordered some dessert to share.. although is fine dining, I must admit that I preffered Hurricane’s pork rib or steak But it’s the experience count right bi?

After dinner, we had a short stroll beside the beach but couldn’t stay long because was a chilly nite! But we both had fun nonetheless

Happy birthday to my BFD!  Hahaha.. today you older than me yiao~~

While waiting for our food, how can we forget to camwhore!

Fried softshell crab and wedges for entree. Both were fine.

Bini ordered Moroccan lamb cutlet. Superb!

I ordered Prime Scotch Fillet Steak (basically beef steak). Beautiful!

We hesitated for dessert, but glad we did. Tiramisu with homemade espresso sauce and ice cream is heavenly!

I won’t deny that there are emotional times too. Well, that’s what make the relationship interesting as long as they don’t get out of hand! Often we would tell how much we love and blessed to have companion of each other. We share almost similar interests, pastimes, dreams and plans. Shamelessly, I would say we are a perfect match!

When I reached here the temp was 9 degrees and I thought I could deal with that. But I just get to know that I hate winter! :p Nice to walk outside but staying at home is real torture. Either stay in the blanket or sit beside the heater :p

But apart from that, it feels good to be with my bier. Seeing him everyday, bullying each other :s, cooking for him, doing groceries with him, exploring new places with him just like the good old days..

Besides that, I’ve learnt to love this new place. We are living very near to the city which I disliked last time. But now that we moved to a bigger space upstairs, facing the residential area, the calmness and that I can see the horizon far far away makes me feel good. I like the space and convenience that this place can provide I found new things everyday and I enjoy being in this foreign place that I will call home soon.

About my job hunting, I applied for a few jobs and 1 that I wanted the most called me after I submitted the application 2 days after. First interview on 6/7/11, second interview on 11/7/11, medical check up on 13/7/11.. now waiting for the package to come. Considered very lucky to hit on a niche job like mine within the first month! fingers cross.

Everything seems to be working for us since I reached, and I hope that things will settle down and move on with our plannings that we have

All in all, nothing beats waiting for my bier and have a warm and cosy dinner at the end of the day.. that’s something I look forward to everyday now

A quick run through on the major happenings these last 6 months:
- I left for Sydney end of September 2010, for good! My company agreed to transfer me over to HQ and time to put my PR to use. Although I have to be separated from my wife these few months, it is the sacrifice necessary for better future, I guess.

- We went to HK in Feb 2011. It was suppose to be marathon-cum-fun trip, but in the end, we couldn’t manage to register for the race. So we used all ‘energy’ on shopping, eating and sightseeing. Surprisingly, Bini and I like HK, and would like to come back again one day!

- Bini finally got the spouse visa in second week of March 2011 after waiting for 5 months! Hurray! We both are pretty pretty excited about this. She will be here by 23rd June, so looking very very forward to it

This 09-09 marks the anniversary of our marriage, and so we took the chance to feast at Rakuzen, SS15 Subang Jaya. Good stuff, but we both in the end still prefer Kinpachi over the fine margin of quality. Suddenly we sound like food expert huh More to follow when I get home

We departed from Subang around 7am as target to reach Tangkak early as 9:30am for breakfast. God bless, our trip this time wasn’t as wasted as East Coast one. We reached Tangkak just in time for fresh beef noodle! Oh, boss said noodle was not ready yet (proved how early we were), so all of us (except Bini who doesn’t take beef) ordered a medium size of beef beehoon soup. Slurp! The soup is light yet full of beef freshness. The meat is also fresh and tender. Jacky said it has a branch in KL but the soup here is better. Must try when you goes Tangkak! After that, we went to the famous biscuit shop 和美, just fifty steps away. The bean paste biscuit is good (Bini said it is bit too sweet), so is the melon paste biscuit.

Muar is only about half an hour away. Our first stop there was chicken rice ball at one of the old shopblocks. What’s so special about it? The rice ball is bigger, about 2.5 balls of Malacca style. The c hicken is worth the mention. Tender and not fatty. Oh, you gotta try the otak otak too! Nicely barbequed and bigger bite size =)~ We were supposed to eat (yea again!) at the famous Glutton Street two blocks away, but alas the stalls were not open due to some Ghost festival event. I called one Muar friend and he brought us to another food court to eat. Nah, nothing worth mentioning here except the apam balik. We visited one of the temples here before proceeding to lunch at Parit Jawa, a small fishing village 20 minutes away from town. I have to tell you that signage for Asam Pedas is everywhere in Muar, so how can we skip that. This place is suppose to be famous for it too. Findings: not too sour, fish is fresh, crispy fried fish is nice, otak otak sucks We lepak there for a while before heading to Batu Pahat.

We stopped at the famous 大伯庙 where you could touch the gigantic fish for good luck. Bini surely tried her best We went to town in search of the suppose-to-be famous wantan mee. Nah, not our bowl-of-mee although the business was pretty good. You may give it a try, who knows Everyone was quite tired by then, so we went to Kluang to find hotel. You would never guess that almost all the main hotels were full! There were rooms in one dodgy inn, but we skipped that. We finally managed to find decent rooms in another one down the road. Room is cheap but not the kind where you would be offered ‘service’ middle of the night. After checked in, we refreshed and rested before proceeding to Star Coffee house for dinner (based on the inn manager recommendation). FYI, it is not a normal kopitiam, but one of those airconditioned restaurants. We ordered their famous fried duck (eat with steam bun), petai sotong, taufu and yellow rice wine chicken soup. We were hungry but frankly the food was good and worth second visit or more. We visited one Ramadhan bazaar nearby before we found our way to a popular satay stall. The place was really packed even it was almost middle of the night. Too bad they ran out of pig intestine satay but still we salvaged on the pork satay with beer. What a ‘healthy’ supper That was the last meal (7th!) for the day.

The first stop next morning was at the famous Kluang station kopi tiam. It was a small cafe inside the Kluang train station (which gives it the name). It has franchises around but none beats the original. Their coffee and roti bakar (particularly the round one) were one of the best we ever had! Few of us even bought their famous coffee powder back for own consumption or gift. After filling the stomach, it was time for some exercise. We visited ZenXin organic farm where they have huge area for organic fruits and vegetable. Imagine the place is big enough for us to cycle around (they do have bike rental) and couldn’t finish in an hour! We left after having their dragonfruit ice bar and drink, fresh! My friend recommended the famous bun shop near Ayer Itam toll and she is very right. Bun is freshly made throughout the day and even had to wait for our share. Luckily there was a craft bazaar nearby to waste time.

It was time to go back Muar to see if lady luck is shining on us. Hurray to her, that Glutton street was open! We managed to park nearby and anxiously made our way to the street for one of the most look forward highlights. The stalls mainly sell Teochew snacks, which made me drool just at sight of them Let’s see what is good, 米包米, 面薄, pig small intestine satay and COCKLE satay! Yup you heard right! Lots of pig cockles on satay stick ~ It is Bier favorite and we like the pork satay here better than last night one. All these made this trip felt more complete It was already late afternoon and everyone was tired from eating, so we decided to skip Malacca and head straight home to rest. It would be best if we have another day to try more food in Muar, such as ikan bakar that only sells at night. It was a short yet ‘filling’ trip. Now we can mark these few towns off our list. Beside Perlis, we can say we pretty much covered whole penisular!

Anyway, the menu is comprehensive and for a while I was stunned not knowing what to order. Maybe I was too hungry and everything sounds perfect! In the end, we settled with below

	Seasonal sashimi platter. Awesome stuff though we can only recognize salmon, tuna and scallop + roe. They just melt in your mouth.. mmm mmmph!
	Unagi Dragon roll. Another awesome stuff. When you bite on it, the Unagi melt and mix with the rice perfectly. All thumbs and toes up!
	Soft shell crab. Bini thinks it is average but I like it! It is different from normal as there is no batter and flavour is very rich!
	Bento set. Nothing to hooha about this except the tempura prawn. The prawn meat is very smooth. We should order by itself next time, right Bini?
	Asahi Beer. A little too light for my liking. Will try Kirin beer or sake next round

Overall, we are extremely satisfied with the quality! Mind you, it is a pricy place but you get what you pay! So good that we want to go back again, in near future!
